There have been many speculations regarding the upcoming Lenovo Z5 which the company has been touting to feature some cutting-edge specifications. The smartphone renders which came out earlier showed the phone to have a bezel-less display that stretches all the way on the front of the phone. In addition to that, the company also boasted that the device may come with up to 4TB of storage. In comparison, the only phone to have a storage capacity that much is Smartisan R1 with 1TB of internal memory.
Recently, some more renders of the Z5 have surfaced, just before the launch of the phone which is set to happen on June 5th in China. The leak shows the front of the phone displaying a tall and bezel-less display, although with a notch on the top. This recent leak which has surfaced through Weibo is contradictory to the earlier predictions which showed a true bezel-less display.
On the inside, the Lenovo Z5 is expected to be powered by top of the line Snapdragon 845 processor with up to 8GB of RAM. This should allow the phone to perform like a total beast without breaking a sweat. On the software front, the phone is expected to be powered by ZUI, likely to be built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
Another major highlight, which the phone has been repeatedly been leaked is outstanding battery life. The phone has been confirmed to have up to 45 days of standby time. To have this capability, the phone may have to push beyond a 5000 mAh battery which can be found on smartphones like the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
It is yet to see what Lenovo has to offer and we’d recommend sitting tight in there as the phone could potentially blow its competition away if it comes at the right price point. It would also be interesting to see how soon the company brings the phone to the Indian market.
