After the recently unveiled Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Honor Magic 2 smartphones, the Lenovo Z5 Pro is the third Chinese phone to arrive with a manual slider design. The Lenovo smartphone is equipped with four cameras and it is driven by a powerful chipset. Also, it is equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Lenovo Z5 Pro Specifications and Features
Weighing 210 grams, the Lenovo Z5 Pro features a glass back. The dimensions of the smartphone are 155.12 x 73.04 x 9.3mm. The Z5 Pro offers a screen-to-body ratio of 95.06 percent, as the sensors that are usually placed on the upper bezel of the phone are placed on its slider. This allows the smartphone to offer a higher screen space thanks to the 2.07mm slim bezels around the display. The handset is fitted with a 6.39-inch S-AMOLED screen that is shielded by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. The screen features Full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and HDR 10. Also, it is integrated with a photoelectric in-display fingerprint reader.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro is fueled by the Snapdragon 710 mobile platform and 6 GB of RAM. It comes in two storage versions – 64 GB and 128 GB. Lenovo has not included a microSD card slot on the device. There is a 3,350mAh battery inside the Z5 Pro which supports 9V/2A fast charging. Android 8.1 Oreo customised with ZUI 10 comes pre-installed on the device. It features a gaming mode that accelerates the performance of CPU, GPU and RAM.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro features a 16-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel IR sensor. The latter along with other infrared light brings support for IR face unlock. The front camera with f/2.2 aperture can shoot AI driven selfie shots.
The f/1.8 aperture Sony IMX576 24-megapixel + f/1.8 aperture Sony IMX519-megapixel rear-mounted dual camera system coupled with dual-tone LED flash is placed on the rear of the Lenovo Z5 Pro. The dual cameras offer photography features like PDAF, HDR, AI smart scene detection, night scene mode, 4K and 120fps full HD video recording.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro is equipped with Dolby Atmos support for immersive audio experience. There is an inbuilt security chip on the device that safeguards the confidential data of the user. The handset lacks support a 3.5mm audio jack. The Chinese manufacturer is providing a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter along with handset. Moreover, it is also selling the all new Lenovo Air Bluetooth headset for the Z5 Pro. It is the first Lenovo phone to carry support for NFC. Other connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi 802.11ac, v5.0 Bluetooth, GPS and USB-C are also available on the Lenovo Z5 Pro.
Lenovo Z5 Pro Pricing and Release Date
The 64 GB storage + 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage + 6 GB RAM variants of the Lenovo Z5 Pro are priced at 1,998 Yuan (~Rs. 21,000) and 2,998 Yuan (~Rs. 31,700) respectively. The handset can be bought in a Black colour. The smartphone goes on pre-order in China today, and will be available starting November 11th. Currently, there is no word on its international availability.
