Lenovo Z6 with Snapdragon 730 and In-Display Fingerprint Sensor Launched in China

Earlier this year, Lenovo had launched the Lenovo Z6 Pro flagship phone in China. It is one of the cheapest Snapdragon 855 smartphones in the market. In May, it unveiled the mid-range Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition with Snapdragon 710. Without any fanfare, Lenovo has today announced the Lenovo Z6 that sits between the Z6 Pro and Z6 Youth Edition smartphones.

Lenovo Z6 Specifications and Features

The Lenovo Z6 has a glass rear that curves towards its four sides. It features a series-6000 aluminum frame and the thickness of the device is only 7.97mm. The smartphone is fitted with a waterdrop notch display measuring 6.39-inches. It is an OLED panel with full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits of brightness, HDR 10+, support for DCI-P3 colour and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features a sixth-generation in-screen fingerprint reader. The Lenovo Z6 boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent.

The Snapdragon 730 chipset that powers the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi K20 and Samsung Galaxy A80 is present at the helm of the Lenovo Z6 with up to 8GB of RAM. It comes in 64GB and 128GB storage models. There is a microSD card slot available on the device for expanding its storage. The smartphone is packed with a 4,000mAh battery that carries support for up 18W charging. However, the phone is bundled with a 15W charger. The smartphone runs ZUI 11 based on Android 9 Pie.

The Lenovo Z6 houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The rear shell of the smartphone has a triple camera unit followed by an LED flash. It includes a Sony IMX576 24-megapixel main lens with 1.8micron pixel size, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and 8x hybrid zoom and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The other features available on the Lenovo Z6 are Dolby Atmos support, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Lenovo Z6 Price and Release Date

The Lenovo Z6 comes in three models – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at 1,899 Yuan (~Rs 19,000), 2099 Yuan (~Rs 21,000) and 2,499 Yuan (~Rs 25,000) respectively. The smartphone will be available for purchase from July 9th in China.
