Lenovo Z6 Pro with Snapdragon 855 and Quad Cameras Announced in China

The Lenovo Z6 Pro has been officially unveiled in China. Last December, the Chinese manufacturer had launched the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT as the world’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. The Lenovo Z6 Pro features the same chipset and it comes equipped with quad rear cameras.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro sports a 4D curved glass back and a metallic frame. The dimensions of the phone are 157.5 x 74.6 x 8.65mm and it weighs 185 grams.

The Z6 Pro is fitted with a 6.39-inch S-AMOLED display with offers full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is embedded with a sixth-generation in-display fingerprint reader which takes only 0.13 seconds to unlock, according to the brand. The display carries support for HDR 10, DCI-P3 color gamut, full-range DC dimming and the ability to filter harmful blue light by 33.3 percent.

The Snapdragon 855 SoC that powers the Lenovo Z6 Pro is assisted by up to 12GB of RAM and it comes with up to 512GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The 4,000mAh battery of the phone supports 27W rapid charging. The Z6 Pro is also equipped reverse charging. For heat dissipation, the smartphone features PC-grade liquid cooling technology. Android 9 Pie OS with ZUI 11 skin comes preloaded on the device. There is Game Turbo acceleration mode for improving the Z6 Pro’s performance while gaming.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Quad Cameras

A 32-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture sits on the front of the Lenovo Z6 Pro. It carries support for full HD video recording and AI beauty features. Placed on the rear shell of the phone is a vertically arranged quad camera system along with dual-tone LED flash and laser autofocus. The quad camera setup includes a primary sensor of 48-megapixels with f/1.8 aperture, a 125-degree ultra wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens of 8-megapixels with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel super video camera with a pixel size of 2.9μm and OIS. The Z6 Pro features plenty of photography features like super night mode, super macro mode and super wide-angle shots. The Hyper Video feature allows it to capture rich and clear videos.

For audiophiles, the Lenovo Z6 Pro is equipped with Dolby panoramic sound and ultra-linear 4D tuning system. The connectivity features available on the smartphone include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band GPS technology, NFC, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset also supports AI face recognition.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Price and Release

The Lenovo Z6 Pro has arrived in China in four variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. These models are priced at 2,899 Yuan (~Rs 30,000), 2,999 Yuan (~Rs 31,100), 3,799 Yuan (~Rs 39,400) and 4,999 Yuan (~Rs 51,800) respectively. The Chinese manufacturer has started taking pre-orders of the smartphone. It will be available to purchase from April 29th in the home market.

Lenovo also confirmed that the 5G version of the phone dubbed as the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Discovery Edition will be announced in China in the near future. There is no word of the availability of the smartphone outside of China at present.
