Lenovo Z6 Pro Posts Impressive Benchmarks on AnTuTu, Topples Xiaomi Mi 9 and Meizu 16s

On: April 18, 2019

Earlier this week, Lenovo opened registrations for its upcoming Z6 Pro flagship smartphone in China. Ahead of its formal launch in the country on April 23, Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng has shared a screenshot on Weibo showing the AnTuTu score of the company’s upcoming flagship.

Lenovo Z6 Pro Will be a Performance Beast, Suggests AnTuTu Score

The screenshot shared by Cheng on Weibo reveals the Z6 Pro achieves a score of 4,03,077 on AnTuTu. That’s significantly higher than what most other smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 chipset score on AnTuTu. Only gaming smartphones such as the Razer Phone 2 achieve a higher score. Whether this means the Lenovo Z6 Pro will have an impressive cooling solution, remains to be seen.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro, like other 2019 flagship smartphones, is expected to have a near bezel-less screen with an In-display fingerprint sensor. Its main highlight will be a Hyper Vision camera with 100MP resolution. However, it is not clear if the sensor itself will have 100MP image resolution or if the smartphone will use image stacking to output 100MP resolution photos. In terms of battery life, the Lenovo Z6 Pro will be an improvement compared to the company’s first Snapdragon 855-powered smartphone, the Z5 Pro GT. While the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT packs a 3350mAh capacity battery, the Lenovo Z6 Pro will have a 4000mAh capacity battery.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro is rumored to have 5G connectivity as well, which means it will be the company’s very first smartphone to have 5G support. Its previous flagship device, the Z5 Pro GT lacked 5G connectivity. While the smartphone will be launched in China on April 23, the company has not revealed any plans of selling the Z6 Pro in markets outside China just yet. Since the smartphone will have 5G support, it is possible that it may be launched in a few other markets a few weeks after its debut in China.
