Lenovo is set to launch the Z6 Youth Edition in China tomorrow, i.e. May 22. Ahead of the smartphone’s formal debut in China tomorrow, Lenovo VP Chang Cheng today shared a new teaser on his Weibo page, confirming some of the smartphone’s key specifications. A pre-order page for the smartphone has also gone live on the Lenovo online store in China.
Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition Specifications Revealed, Pre-Orders Expected to Open Soon
The latest teaser posted on Weibo by the Lenovo Vice President reveals the smartphone will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset and not a Snapdragon 730 chipset as some rumors had been suggesting. While the newer Snapdragon 730 is no doubt more powerful, the Snapdragon 710 still remains a very impressive mid-range chipset.
In addition to the processor, the teaser reconfirms the Z6 Youth Edition display will have HDR10 support. In the camera department, Lenovo’s upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature an AI triple-camera setup on the back. The resolution of the three sensors, however, has not been confirmed yet. The Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition will also have a 4050mAh capacity battery, which should allow it to deliver impressive battery life. Additionally, the pre-order page on the Lenovo website confirms support for Dolby Atmos audio and dual-frequency GPS. The official renders also confirm the presence of a circular fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.
Targeted at younger consumers, the Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition will come in gradient color options with a curved glass design and 8-layer nanoscale coating. As for availability, the pre-order page on the Lenovo China website reveals the smartphone will be going on sale in the country starting from May 28. Pre-orders will likely go live soon after the smartphone’s official launch tomorrow. While the price is yet to be confirmed, we can expect the Z6 Youth Edition to be significantly more affordable than the flagship Z6 Pro smartphone.
