LG G Pad 5 10.1 with 8,200mAh battery and Snapdragon 821 announced

The LG G Pad 5 10.1 has gone official in South Korea.  Apart from featuring a large-sized screen, the tablet is equipped with a massive battery that carries support for fast charging. The device has arrived as the successor to the LG G Pad 4 tablet that was announced in 2017.

The LG G Pad 5 10.1 measures 247.2 x 150.7 x 8mm and 498g. The 10.1-inch IPS LCD display of the device offers full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. There is also a blue light filter that reduces harmful blue rays.

The outdated Snapdragon 821 mobile platform that powered flagship phones in 2017 is present under the hood of the LG G Pad 5 10.1. The 2.3GHz octa-core processor is supported by 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The device offers 32GB of UFS 2.0 storage. There is a microSD card slot on the device expanding storage further.

The LG G Pad 5 10.1 has a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear snapper. Android 9 Pie runs on the device. A fingerprint scanner is found on the right edge of the device, which also features a power button and a volume rocker.

The G Pad 5 10.1 has a huge 8,200mAh battery. It is coupled with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The device comes with support for LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The LG G Pad 5 10.1 is priced at 4,40,00 won (~$378). The device comes a single Silver colour. There is no word on the international availability of the device.
