It looks like the South Korean tech titan LG is planning to expand its G Pad tablet series in the near future. According to a report by 91mobiles, the company is all set to release the LG G Pad 8 in the coming weeks. The publication has also leaked some specifications, photos, and pricing details of the upcoming LG tablet. The leaked information suggests that the LG G Pad 8 will be a mid-range tablet with a compact display and premium build. Apart from the LG G Pad 8, the company also seems to be working on the LG G Pad 5, which was recently spotted in the database of the benchmarking app Geekbench.
As per the report, the LG G Pad 8 will feature an 8-inch display with slim bezels all around it, but there’s no word regarding its screen resolution at the moment. The images suggest that the slate will offer a metal unibody design with a USB Type-C port and two speaker grilles at the bottom. The source claims that the tablet will come with an 8MP single primary camera at the rear and a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calling. The device is said to arrive with a massive 8,200mAh battery. Lastly, the publication indicates that the LG G Pad 8 will be priced at $367 (~Rs 26,000). Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the processor, RAM and storage capacity, OS, and connectivity features of the upcoming LG tablet.
Talking about the LG G Pad 5, the slate recently appeared on Geekbench with a quad-core Qualcomm processor that’s clocked at 2.19GHz. The slate could come featuring the three-year-old Snapdragon 821 chipset. The tablet on the benchmarking app has received a single-core score of 347 and a multi-core score of 909. The listing in the Geekbench database has also suggested that the LG G Pad 5 could come with 4GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie.
