South Korean handset maker LG today launched its current flagship LG G6 in India, as expected. The phone comes at the price of Rs 51,990 and goes on sale on Amazon starting from tomorrow (April 25th). Interestingly, LG is also offering Rs 10,000 cashback for everyone who purchases it tomorrow. To recall, the LG G6 was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year.
In terms of specifications, the LG G6 has a 5.7-inch Quad HD+ FullVision display with 564 PPI pixel density. It looks sleek and seems ideal for one-handed use.
Inside is a Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 821 chip coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes in two storage options: 32GB and 64GB (expandable up to 2TB via microSD).
For photography, it houses two 13-megapixel cameras on the back. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel secondary camera for selfies. Selfie lovers can leverage a couple of modes such as Gesture Shot and Auto Shot.
The gesture shot helps taking selfies simply with a gesture. The auto shot, on the other hand, is all about capturing photos once a face is detected.
On the design front, it is made of aluminum and glass that comes in platinum and black colours. It measures 148.9 mm in height, 71.9 in width, 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 163g.
The LG G6, like any other flagship smartphone these days, come with the IP68 rating to protect itself against dust and water. This way, it can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
As for software, the LG G6 runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and Google Assistant out of the box. It has a fingerprint scanner and 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
Connectivity-wise, it supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C.
