LG G7 One and LG G7 Fit Goes Official as Lower Variants of G7 ThinQ

Various smartphone OEMs will be showcasing new phones at the IFA 2018 tech trade show that will take place on Aug. 30 in Berlin, Germany. Some of the manufactures have already begun to announce new phones that will be display at the upcoming tech expo. Today, LG has announced two new phones, namely LG G7 One and LG G7 Fit as the lower variants of the LG G7 ThinQ flagship phone that was unleashed few months ago. The arrival of these devices seems to be in accordance with LG’s revised smartphone business strategy of launching multiple variants of its flagship smartphones.

LG G7 One Specifications and Features

The LG G7 One is the first Android One smartphone from the company. It borrows a 6.1-inch FullVision notched screen that carries support for Quad HD+ resolution. The notched display offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Like the G7 ThinQ, it features an IP68 and MIL-STD-810G certified chassis.

The Snapdragon 835 chipset is present under the hood of the smartphone. The SoC of the G7 One is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 32 GB of RAM and it includes a microSD card slot. Since it runs on stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo, it will be one of the first LG phones to be treated with Android 9 Pie OS.

The vertical dual camera setup placed on its rear features 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture. It has a selfie shooter of 8-megapixel with f/1.9 aperture. The handset receives power from 3,000mAh battery. Its other features include Quad DAC, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 through USB-C.

The LG G7 Fit also features a 6.1-inch notched screen that supports QHD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 821 SoC is the chipset that powers the handset. After the LG G6 phone from last year, it is the second Snapdragon 821 powered smartphone from the South Korean manufacturer.

Like the G7 One, the G7 Fit features 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32 GB. The other variant that features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage is dubbed as G7 Fit+. The handset also features a microSD card slot for more storage. The smartphone is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo.

The G7 Fit is also fueled by 3,000mAh battery enabled with Quick Charge 3.0. It is fitted with an f/2.2 aperture 16-megapixel rear camera and an f/1.9 aperture 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The other features of the phone are Quad DAC, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C, IP68 and MIL-STD-810G approved body.

LG is yet to confirm the pricing and availability of LG G7 One and G7 Fit smartphones. These details are likely to confirm at the IFA 2018 tech expo. The color variants of the G7 One are New Moroccan Blue and New Aurora Black whereas the G7 Fit will be available in colors like New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray.
