LG K12+ With 5.7-inch display and Helio P22 Processor Launched In Brazil

South Korean brand LG has launched a new mid-range smartphone in Brazil. The device is dubbed as LG K12+ and appears to be an affordable variant of the K40 which was unveiled ahead of MWC last month.

The LG K12+ has been launched at a price tag of BRL 1,199 (roughly Rs 21,200). It is available in three colour options i.e. Moroccan Blue, Platinum Gray and Black. There is no word regarding the availability of LG K12+ in international markets, including India.

As for the specs and features, the LG K12+ features a 5.7-inch display bearing HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device doesn’t feature any notch, but there are bezels on the top and bottom chin. There is a physical fingerprint scanner at the back. The LG K12+ is also durable with MIL-STD 810G certification. It also comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button. On the audio front, the smartphone comes with support for DTS:X 3D Surround sound.

The LG K12+ sports a single 16MP rear snapper with f/2.0 paired with LED flash. The camera is backed by AI capabilities and comes with PDAF and HDR support. It also comes with Google Lens integration for image recognition. Up front, the device is fitted with an 8MP shooter with LED flash for selfies.

In terms of hardware, the LG K12+ is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. It offers 32GB internal memory which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The LG K12+ is powered by a 3,000mAh battery unit.

The device is a dual-SIM smartphone and connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
