In May, LG unveiled the LG Velvet 5G premium mid-range phone. Recent reports have revealed that the company is working on Q-series and K-series mid-range phones such as LG Q92, LG K42 and LG K22. It appears that these phones will be made official gradually over the new few weeks. Today, the South Korean company took the covers off the LG K31 mid-range phone.
The LG K31 comes with a tall aspect ratio display and it sports a 13-megapixel dual camera setup on its rear. The handset comes with a dedicated button for accessing the Google Assistant. The MIL-810-STDG certification ensures that the K31 can withstand harsh climatic conditions. The specs of the LG K31 suggest that it is a variant of the LG Aristo 5 phone that was made available through T-Mobile in the US in July.
LG K31 specifications and features
The LG K31 has a polycarbonate body that measures 147 x 71 x 8mm and weighs 147 grams. It houses a 5.7-inch FullVision IPS LCD waterdrop display with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels. While the company claims that the K31 offers an all-screen experience, it has a fairly thick bottom bezel. The display notch is the home to its 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The rear side of the LG K31 has a horizontally arranged camera module. It is houses a 13-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, a 120-degree 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens,and an LED flash unit. A fingerprint reader is also seen on the rear panel of the LG K31.
The LG K31 is powered by the Helio P22 chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
The phone runs LG UX 9.1 based on Android 10. It’s fueled by a 3,000mAh battery. The handset has connectivity features such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, microU-SB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
LG K31 pricing and availability
The LG K31 is priced at $149 (~Rs 11,200) in the US and it can be availed in a Silver colour. At present, there is no word on the international availability of the LG K31.
