LG K41S, K51S and K61 with quad rear cameras and military-grade durability announced

LG has expanded its range of K series smartphones by launching three new devices – the LG K41S, K51S, and K61. All three new LG K series handsets flaunt four cameras on the back, minimal bezels, and MIL-STD 81G-grade durability. The LG K41S, K51S, and K61 are all equipped with a high-resolution main lens, a wide-angle camera, a depth sensor, and the fourth camera for macro photography. Notably, the LG K61 is the South Korean tech giant’s first smartphone to flaunt a 48MP main camera. The LG K51S features a 32MP primary shooter.

LG K 2020 series specifications and features

The new LG K series smartphones share a number of specifications. They have rear-mounted fingerprint sensors for security. While the LG K41S and K51S have 6.5-inch HD+ FullVision displays, the K61 features a 6.5-inch screen with full HD+ resolution. All are equipped with DTS:X 3D surround sound and a dedicated button to trigger the Google Assistant. Their connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and A-GPS. All of the new LG phones are powered by octa-core processors of unknown make and 4,000mAh batteries, and support microSD cards up to 2TB in size.

Talking about the individual specs, the LG K41S is the most affordable of the new LG K series trio and it features a waterdrop notch above the screen. The phone is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The device has a 13MP main camera on the back, which is aided by a 5MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there’s an 8MP shooter on the front.

LG K51S features a punch-hole display and a 32MP main camera 

The LG K51S features 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone has a 32MP primary camera on the back, which is accompanied by a 5MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device has a 13MP selfie camera. This one has a hole in the top-left corner to house the selfie shooter.

As for the LG K61, this one also has a punch-hole design like the K51S. Under the hood, the phone has 4GB of RAM. The phone comes in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The 48MP primary camera on the back of the device is paired with an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth-sensing shooter. The K61 has the highest resolution selfie camera with a 16MP sensor.

The LG K41S, K51S, and K61 will be initially available in the US in the second quarter of the year. Soon after, they will be launched in key markets in Europe and Asia. Pricing of the new LG phones will be announced at their local launch.
