The South Korean handset maker, LG is known for offering mid-range smartphones under its Q-series of devices. The latest launch in the series was the LG Q51, which flaunts 6.5-inch display and 13MP triple cameras as its USP. It seems that the brand is working on yet another Q-series smartphone but this time it could be a pricier offering. Pricebaba has spotted a new smartphone on the Bluetooth SIG certification with model number LG-Q1118. Notably, this is the first time this model number has been spotted.
According to the Bluetooth SIG website, the LG Q1118 will come with the Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. While Q-series smartphones are known to be affordable or mid-range smartphones, the presence of Bluetooth 5.1 hints that this device could be a more premium offering in the lineup. Alternatively, the LG Q1118 could be a completely different high-end smartphone from the chaebol. However, this is all speculation at this point. Unfortunately, no other details of the upcoming smartphone are known at the moment and the Bluetooth certification also doesn’t reveal much apart from the Bluetooth version.
To recap on the LG Q51, the smartphone ships with a 6.5-inch FullVision IPS LCD display featuring HD+ resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Powering the performance of the handset is the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz and backed by 3GB RAM. The onboard storage is 32GB, which can be further expanded using a microSD card slot. In the camera department, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel primary lens, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back. Taking care of selfies and video calling is a 13-megapixel snapper on the front. Other features include a 4,000mAh battery, DTS:X 7.1 channel sound system, stereo speakers, dedicated hardware key for Google Assistant and more.
We should know more about the LG-Q1118 in the coming days as the Bluetooth certification hints at an imminent launch.
