Last week, LG unveiled a few new phones, namely the LG K61, K51S and K41S in European markets and the LG W10 Alpha in India. Today, the company launched a new phone called the LG Q51 in South Korea. The phone comes with sleek body that houses a waterdrop notch screen. The device is fitted with three cameras on its back and is packed with a large-sized battery. Since the LG Q51 comes with an MIL-STD-810G compliant chassis, it is designed to withstand harsh climatic conditions.
LG Q51 specifications and features
The LG Q51 has a 6.5-inch FullVision IPS LCD display. The V-notch screen offers HD+ resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. It is assisted by 3GB of RAM. The phone offers users an internal storage of 32GB. There is a microSD card slot onboard for expanding storage further.
There is a 4,000mAh battery present inside the LG Q51 smartphone. In the front, it flaunts a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. It is fitted with a horizontal camera module on its rear which comprises of a 13-megapixel primary lens, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear of the LG Q51 which can be used to securely authenticate payments. The Q51 promises a stellar audio performance through its DTS:X 7.1 channel sound system and stereo speakers. The left spine of the smartphone has a dedicated hardware key to summon the Google Assistant. The LG Q51 offers NFC and comes with a USB-C port.
LG Q51 price and availability
The three leading carriers of South Korea will start with the sales of the LG Q51 from tomorrow (February 26th). The smartphone is priced at 317,000 won (~Rs 18,800). The phone comes in two colour options such as Frozen White and Moonlight Titanium. There is no word on the phone’s availability outside of its home market.
