On: August 9, 2017

LG has finally launched the newly unveiled smartphone dubbed as LG Q6 in India. It is a tone down version of the company’s flagship device of the year LG G6. The LG Q6 is the first mid-range smartphone to offer a virtually bezel-less display, thanks to LG’s proprietary FullVision display technology. The phone carries a price tag of just Rs 14,990 and will be available exclusively on Amazon. Additionally, LG is also offering free 6 months 1-time screen replacement warranty.

The LG Q6 put on a 5.5-inch Full HD display offering extra real state with a virtually bezel-less screen. The display resolution scores 2,160 x 1080 pixels, thanks to LG’s FullVision display. With the launch of Q6, LG has finally brought the 18:9 display to the mid-range smartphones. Previously, only the flagship devices like LG G6, Galaxy S8, and S8 Plus featured a display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The LG Q6 also gets facial recognition out-of-the-box which the G6 lacked initially but received with a software update.

It is powered by a mid-range processor Snapdragon 435 and gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. For shutterbugs, the Q6 lineup sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens front camera. The device packs in a 3,000mAh battery and runs the latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The colour options available for the Q6 are Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold.
