LG Q7 with 18:9 Screen, IP68 Chassis Launched for Rs. 15,990

The LG Q7 was unveiled in May in South Korea and the same phone has been officially introduced in India with a starting price of Rs. 15,990. The handset has arrived as a successor for the LG Q6 that was made available in August 2017 with a price tag of Rs. 14,990. Even though it is a mid-range LG phone, it includes some features that are usually made available on high-end phones from the company.

LG Q7 Specifications and Features

The LG Q7 features an IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant body. Since the device is also MIL-810-STDG certified, it remains offers military grade durability. The handset measures 143.8 x 69.3 x 8.4mm and it weighs 145 grams. The Q7 is fitted with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD FullVision screen that produces an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.

The MediaTek MT6750S SoC that includes 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. The chipset is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM. It comes with an inbuilt storage of 32 GB. For more storage, the LG handset features a dedicated microSD. A 3,000mAh battery powers the smartphone. It takes around 1 hour to gain 60 percent battery juice.

The backside of the LG Q7 features a main camera of 13-megapixel that is equipped with features like f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. On the front of the Q7 is an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie shooter with f/1.9 aperture. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, the handset is also equipped with face unlock feature. The Q7 is preinstalled with Android 8.0 Oreo OS that tags along LG’s UI and QLens feature for using the camera to carry out image searching and online shopping.

Some of the other high-end features that are available on the Q7 include Quad DAC for hi-fi audio performance and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound. For connectivity, the handset offers features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset measures 143.8 x 69.3 x 8.4mm and it weighs 145 grams.

LG Q7 Pricing and Availability

The LG Q7 was introduced in South Korea with a price tag of 495,000 Won (~Rs. 31,000). However, the smartphone has arrived with a reduce pricing of Rs. 15,990 in India. The sales of the smartphone will begin on 1st September. It will be available in colors like Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet in the country.

South Korea has LG Q7+ variant too that includes 16-megapixel rear camera, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. There is no confirmation on whether the company will be the bringing the Q7+ model in India.
