LG Q9 One Android One Smartphone With Snapdragon 835 Announced

Last month, LG had launched the Snapdragon 821-powered Q9 in South Korea. Today, the South Korean tech giant has announced the LG Q9 One in its home market. As the name suggests, it is an Android One smartphone.

LG Q9 One Specifications and Features

When it comes to the appearance, the LG Q9 One resembles the Q9. The handset weighs 156 grams and measures 7.9mm in thickness. It is an MIL-STD-810G and IP68-certified dust resistant and waterproof smartphone that can withstand harsh temperatures. In terms of specifications, the Q9 One features a better chipset and an improved rear camera compared to the Q9.

The LG Q9 One features a 6.1-inch FullVision notched display that delivers quad HD+ resolution of 1,440 x 3,210 pixels. The notched screen offers an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Snapdragon 835 SoC is present under the hood of the device along with 4GB of RAM. The phone is equipped with an internal storage of 64GB. For additional storage, it features a microSD card slot.

The newly introduced Android One LG phone is packed with an 18W Quick Charge 3 enabled 3,000mAh battery. There is an f/1.6 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera which carries support for OIS. For capturing selfies, it is fitted with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

While the LG Q9 featured LG’s custom UI over Android, the Q9 One offers a stock Android experience with Android 9 Pie. A fingerprint scanner is fitted on the rear panel. The other features available on the smartphone include a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS:X surround sound support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC and USB-C.

LG Q9 One Price and Release Date

The LG Q9 was introduced with a price tag of KRW 499,400 (~Rs 31,450) in South Korea. The Q9 One is priced at KRW 599,500 (~Rs 37,750). The smartphone will be available for purchase from February 15th in a Moroccan Blue colour. International availability is still unknown.
