LG introduced its Signature series last year, a premium category which will have only flagship devices. The LG Signature Edition was launched in December last year and today, its successor was launched with significant improvements in major fronts. The new LG Signature Edition (2018) also comes with a free Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i headphone, the value of which is roughly Rs. 40,000. In South Korea, the price of the flagship has been set at KRW 1,999,800 (~ Rs. 1,23,000).
The LG flagship comes with a 6-inch QHD+ OLED display. Being a bezel-less phone, it has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The pixel density is superb at 538 ppi. Design wise, the phone bears a very premium look. It has a Zirconium Ceramic back and is enhanced with metal edges. But it is largely similar to its predecessor when it comes to design.
Coming to the cameras, the phone rocks two 16-megapixel cameras on the rear and there is one 8-megapixel sensor on the front. The rear cameras have an aperture of f/1.6 and the secondary rear sensor offers a 107 degree wide angle. Even the selfie camera comes with a 80 degree wide angle lens.
Talking of the performance, the LG Signature Edition comes with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset underneath. It is coupled with 6GB of RAM to offer seamless multi-tasking. The phone provides 256GB of internal storage and to top it up, you can also expand your storage with the help of a microSD card up to 2TB. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo layered with LG UX.
The LG Signature Edition has got a 3300mAh battery unit that powers it. You also get Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support to quickly charge your phone. There is wireless charging provided in the phone too.
In terms of connectivity options, there is 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC among others. It has a USB Type-C for charging and a 3.5mm audio jack to listen to music.
