LG launches ‘The Fan’, a smart ceiling fan with an LED display

LG has launched India’s first ceiling fan with Dual Wings for natural air flow. The appliance has been named “The Fan” and has been created to provide “ultimate chill” in the summer heat.

The appliance is laced with Smart ThinQ technology, using which consumers can operate the fan easily from their smartphone. The fan also comes with its own remote control. The smart fan carries support for Wi-Fi, has a special Sleeping Mode and has been touted to operate silently using its biomechanically designed blades. There is a unique Mosquito Away technology embedded in the fan that keeps mosquitoes at bay by emitting ultrasonic sound waves. Additionally, the appliance carries a 40 Pole Energy Efficient BLDC motor and an LED display. It has been launched in a Silver colour with a price tag of Rs 16,990.

Back in March, Ottomate had launched its Bluetooth-enabled smart fan in India with a Qualcomm BLE 5.0 chipset and CSR Mesh. It features digital humidity and temperature sensors along with a number of modes. It has a Smart Mate remote control and can also be controlled via the Ottomate Smart App. The offering features a price tag of Rs 3,999 and comes in Champagne Gold and Mild Grey colours.
