LG V35 ThinQ Launched with Best Specs from G7 and V30S ThinQ

LG has silently launched the all new LG V35 ThinQ smartphone as an upgraded version of the LG V30S ThinQ phone that was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech trade show in February this year. The LG V30S ThinQ is essentially the same LG V30 phone from last year, but it includes enhanced software and advanced AI features for camera. The newly introduced LG V35 ThinQ is packed with improved hardware compared to V30 and V30S ThinQ. Also, it borrows some of its features from the G7 ThinQ flagship that was launched at the beginning of this month.

Display and Design

The LG V35 ThinQ measures 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3mm and it weighs 157 grams. Since its dimensions and weight are same as that of V30S ThinQ, both the handsets have identical appeal. The V35 ThinQ features a metal and glass combination body with a dual camera setup and round-shaped fingerprint reader on the rear. It is yet another LG flagship that comes with IP68 and MIL-810-STDG rated dustproof and waterproof chassis that can withstand harsh weather conditions. The frontside of the phone is mainly occupied by the 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display.

Like the V30S ThinQ, the new smartphone features 6-inch OLED display that supports 2,880 x 1,440 QHD+ resolution. The display is equipped with features like Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, HDR10 support, DCI-P3 color gamut and Always-On Display.

Performance and Variants

The South Korean company is offering the LG V35 ThinQ in same RAM and storage choices like the G7 ThinQ.  The LG V35 ThinQ has 64 GB of storage whereas the V35 ThinQ+ has 128 GB of inbuilt storage. Both models include 6 GB of RAM. The handset also includes a microSD card slot for additional storage. Like the G7 ThinQ, the newly introduced smartphone is fueled by Snapdragon 845 SoC.

It includes 3,300mAh battery to keep the lights on. The battery is equipped with features like wireless charging and Quick Charge 3.0. The handset is preloaded with Android 8.0 Oreo that is customized with a layer of LG UX 7.0

Cameras and Other Features

The LG V35 ThinQ has the same dual rear cameras that are available on the G7 ThinQ. Its primary camera of 16-megapixel with 10-bit HDR image sensor is coupled with a 120-degree wide-angle 16-megapixel sensor. The camera features that are available on the V35 ThinQ are AI Cam, Super Bright Camera, Live Photo, Portrait Mode and Google Lens. For snapping selfies, it features a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel.

Some of its other features include far-field voice recognition, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and DTS-X 3D surrounds for immersive audio experience. The handset comes with a pair earphone from Bang & Olufsen. The connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The U.S. will be the first market to receive the LG V35 ThinQ. It will be exclusively in the U.S. through AT&T with a full retail price of $900. The V35 ThinQ pre-orders will begin in the country on June 1 and it will hit the market on June 8. The two color variants of the smartphone include New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray.
