LG V40 ThinQ with Snapdragon 845 and Penta-Camera Setup Launched in India

Last October, LG had launched the V40 ThinQ in the US with a price tag of $899. On Sunday, the 2018 flagship phone was introduced in India. The smartphone sports a premium design and it is packed with enticing features like a quad HD+ resolution screen, Snapdragon 845, three rear-mounted cameras and dual selfie snappers.

LG V40 ThinQ Specifications and Features

The V40 ThinQ is equipped with Gorilla Glass 5 on its front and rear panels with an aluminum frame sandwiched between them. The V40 ThinQ is fitted with a P-OLED display of 6.4 inches. The notched IPS LCD panel produces quad HD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display of the V40 ThinQ is equipped with features like Always-on Display, Dolby Vision and HDR10. It is an IP68 rated water-resistant device. Since it is MIL-STD-810G complaint, the V40 ThinQ can withstand harsh climatic conditions.

The V40 ThinQ receives power to perform from Snapdragon 845 mobile platform and 6GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128GB and includes a dedicated slot for adding a microSD card. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with LG UX 7.1. The smartphone includes a 3,400mAh battery which is equipped with support for 18W fast charging and 10W wireless charging.


There is a horizontal camera system and a fingerprint scanner on the back panel of the LG V40 ThinQ. The triple camera module has an OIS and dual pixel PDAF enabled 12-megapixel main sensor that is accompanied by a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and 2x optical zoom and a 16-megapixel ultrawide angle lens. For capturing selfies, the front notch of the phone features 8-megapixel primary sensor that is coupled by 5-megapixel wide angle lens. The other features that LG is packed inside the V40 ThinQ are a dedicated hardware button for launching Google Assistant, 3.5mm audio jack, DTS X Surround Sound support, speakers tuned with Meridian audio and a 32-bit Quad DAC.

 LG V40 ThinQ Price in India

The LG V40 ThinQ has launched with a price tag of Rs 49,990 and it is available for buying exclusively through Amazon India. Platinum Gray and Moroccan Blue are the two colour editions of the smartphone for India. LG is offering a free screen replacement worth Rs 16,750 for customers of the V40 ThinQ. HDFC credit/debit card users can take advantage of a 10 percent instant price cut. Other launch offers include no cost EMI, Rs 5,000 off on exchange and Rs 2,000 cashback through third-party services.
