The LG V60 ThinQ 5G flagship phone is now official. The smartphone was expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which was canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak. Nevertheless, LG has gone ahead unveiled its latest V-series flagship smartphone. The V60 ThinQ is the first phone from the South Korean company to come equipped with the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The smartphone is fitted with a large display and massive battery. What sets the phone apart from other flagship phones is that V60 ThinQ comes with an improved Dual Screen accessory for multi-tasking, productivity and gaming.
The LG V60 ThinQ comes with an IP68-rated dustproof and water-resistant body. The MIL-STD 810G certification ensures that the LG flagship phone remains usable even in harsh climatic conditions. The smartphone measures 169.3 x 77.6 x 8.9mm and it weighs 214g. The smartphone flaunts a P-OLED FullVision display with waterdrop notch. The massive 6.8-inch screen delivers full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,460 pixels, 395ppi pixel density and a tall aspect ratio of 20.5:9. A fingerprint sensor is integrated with the screen of the V60 ThinQ.
The selfie notch of the V60 ThinQ is home to its f/1.9 10-megapixel front camera with a large pixel size of 1.22μm. The glass back of the smartphone has a horizontal camera layout, including an f/1.8 64-megapixel primary lens, an f/1.9 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 117-degree field-of-view, a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) lens known as Z Camera and LED flash. The device offers photography features like 10x digital zoom and 8K video recording.
The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powers the LG V60 ThinQ along with 8GB of RAM. The phone can be bought in 128GB or 256GB storage variants. A microSD card slot is onboard for expanding its storage. There is a X55 5G modem on the device that makes it possible to connect to sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks. The handset houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4+ and wireless charging.
Android 10 overlaid with LG UX 9.0 UI comes pre-installed on the LG V60 ThinQ. The smartphone has a Voice Bokeh feature that can separate the voice of the users from background noise. The V60 ThinQ has LG 3D Sound Engine can optimise the audio output for a more cinematic experience. The other features that are available on the smartphone include FM Radio, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB-C, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, stereo speakers, four microphones, HDR10+, NFC, LG Pay and USB-C. It lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Dual Screen accessory case designed for V60 ThinQ has dimensions of 175.9 x 86 x 14.9mm and weighs 134grams. It comes with a 6.8-inch P-OLED FullVision that offers full HD+ resolution and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. It draws power from the V60 ThinQ via a USB-C port. The 360 Freestop Hinge phone makes it possible to view the phone’s display at different angles. The 2.1-inch Cover Display can be used to view notifications through the Always-On Display function.

The LG V60 ThinQ 5G will be available for purchase in the coming months in markets like North America, Europe and Asia. The pricing of the phone is currently under wraps. The V0 ThinQ 5G can be bought in Classy White and Classy Blue colour variants. The Dual Screen accessory can be availed in Black and White colours.
