LG V60 ThinQ leaked images reveal quad cameras and 3.5mm audio jack

LG has cancelled its event at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) due to Coronavirus travel-related risks. The company was expected to launch new phones including the LG V60 ThinQ at the show. While the company has said it will be holding a dedicated launch event for its new products, it is yet to confirm a date. Reputed tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared screenshots from the promotional video for the upcoming V60 ThinQ smartphone. The screenshot has revealed some of its key features. Blass has claimed that the company has cancelled its G-series model.

The screenshots have been reportedly taken from a leaked video that was supposed to be used as promotional material at MWC 2020 event. The two images shared by the tipster reveal that the LG V60 ThinQ has four cameras and four microphones.  The design of the horizontal quad camera setup matches the case images of the phone that had surfaced last month.

The handset has a huge 5,000mAh battery and its bottom edge has an external speaker, a USB-C slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset seems to be codenamed “LG Time”.

The front design of the LG V60 ThinQ is not revealed in the leaked images. However, it does suggest that the front camera is placed at the top-centre position. Some reports have claimed that the phone will be sporting a waterdrop notch display. The actual device won’t be sporting a transparent back.

LG G9 CAD render

The LG V60 ThinQ appears to be the same device leaked as the LG G9 earlier

The rear panel of the LG V60 ThinQ is quite similar to the renders of the alleged LG G9 that popular tipster OnLeaks had shared at the beginning of this year. When the tipster had shared the renders, he was unsure of the branding of the device. He had assumed that it could be the successor of the LG G8 from last year.

Assuming that OnLeaks had actually shared renders of the LG V60 ThinQ, we can assume that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch or 6.9-inch display with a waterdrop notch. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and arrive with support for 5G connectivity. Like the LG V50 ThinQ, a Dual Display accessory for the V60 ThinQ could also be offered in the box.
