LG is gearing up for the launch of its W-series smartphones in India. The company has been teasing the upcoming devices on e-commerce platform Amazon. Now LG has sent out media invites for the launch event scheduled for June 26th in New Delhi. The LG W-series is expected to come with an attractive price tag and is touted to rival Samsung’s Galaxy M series in the competitive Indian market.
As per the Amazon teasers, LG’s upcoming smartphone is confirmed to sport a triple rear camera setup and gradient design in three colour options. The company also claims that the display notch can be customised based on the user’s preference. There was a lack of core specifications of the device, but not anymore. The upcoming smartphone was listed on the Android Enterprise website with the LG W10 moniker.
According to the listing, the LG W10 will feature a 6.2-inch display and a conventional rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It mentions 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The device lacks NFC. We may expect more RAM and storage variants. There is no mention about the processor, but it is likely that the LG W10 will be equipped with a MediaTek Helio chipset processor. Software-wise, the device will run Android 9 Pie. Details regarding optics are also not known at the moment. However, the W-series is teased to offer an impressive photography experience with AI features like night mode, portrait mode, bokeh, and wide angle. The LG W10 is expected to be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
The LG W-series smartphone is confirmed to have a ‘pocket-worthy price tag’ indicating it would be a budget offering. The device is expected to give stiff competition to Xiaomi, Realme, ASUS and Samsung in India.
