Back in June this year, LG had launched its affordable W-series of smartphones. The lineup includes W10, W20, and W30. The W30 was introduced in a standard and Pro variant. During the launch event, LG hadn’t revealed the price tag of W30 Pro. Now the South-Korean brand has announced the pricing and availability of the smartphone. The main difference between the standard and Pro version of W30 is in the hardware and camera department. The LG W-series is available exclusively for purchase through Amazon.
LG W30 Pro specifications and features
The LG W30 Pro features a 6.21-inch FullVision display bearing an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch on the top. LG says that the notch is user-customisable (with options like straight bezel, v-shaped notch or round-shaped notch) and the device offers an 86.83 percent screen-to-body ratio. The LG W30 Pro comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is equipped with StereoPulse sound for immersive audio experience without the need for external speakers. The W30 Pro comes in Midnight Blue and Midnight Purple colour options.
On the camera front, like the standard W30, the W30 Pro also sports triple rear cameras. However, the setup comprises of a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, the device is fitted with a 16MP snapper for selfies and face unlock feature.
In terms of hardware, the LG W30 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 632 SoC paired with an Adreno 506 GPU. The device packs 4GB RAM and offers 64GB onboard storage expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. Software-wise, the smartphone runs Android 9 Pie. The LG W30 Pro draws its power from a 4,050mAh battery unit with support for fast charging. The phone comes with a USB-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and dual 4G VoLTE.
