LG Wing with dual screens and swivel design launched in India for Rs 69,990

LG hasn’t launched many smartphones in India over the last year. However, following record-breaking sales of its discounted LG G8X ThinQ dual screen smartphone during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days, the South Korean brand has introduced the futuristic LG Wing in the country. The device was launched globally in September this year.

With LG Wing, the brand aims to take on the likes of foldable smartphones like Motorola Razr, Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold2 5G in India. The LG Wing offers a unique swivelling design that makes it different from other foldable smartphones. Let’s take a look at the specifications as well as pricing and availability of the smartphone.

The LG Wing sports two OLED displays with the main screen measuring 6.8-inches surrounded by thin bezels. The secondary display is below the main screen and measures 3.9-inches with a 1:1 aspect ratio. The main display can be rotated clockwise at a 90-degree angle to form a T-shaped design.

The LG Wing offers various use cases. In the Swivel Mode, users can watch videos on the main screen and use the secondary screen as a media controller. Users can also surf the web on the second screen while using the main screen for other tasks. 

In terms of design, the LG Wing has a boxy form factor when it is not rotated. It houses a pop-up camera module for the front camera and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is IP54 rated dust and water-resistant as well as MIL-STD 810G certified. 

In the camera department, the LG Wing sports a triple camera module on the back. The setup comprises a 64MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide unit, and another 13MP wide lens. The pop-up module accommodates a 32MP selfie snapper. The LG Wing comes with Gimball Motion Camera offering better stabilisation while shooting videos. The secondary display also doubles up as a Gimball joystick.

As for the core specifications, the LG Wing is powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor with support for 5G connectivity. It is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit and runs Android 10. 

LG Wing price in India

The LG Wing carries a price tag of Rs 69,990. It is available in Illusion Sky and Aurora Grey colours. The smartphone will be available for purchase from November 9th.
