LG X2 (2019) / K30 (2019) smartphone with entry-level specs announced in South Korea

LG has introduced a new smartphone named LG X2 (2019) in South Korea. Priced at KRW 198,000 (~Rs 11,485), the X2 (2019) has arrived with entry-level specs. The South Korean company has confirmed that the phone will be releasing in select European markets and North America as LG K30 (2019).

LG X2 (2019) Specifications

The LG X2 (2019) comes encased in a polycarbonate body measuring 147 x 71.5 x 8.2mm and weighing 147 grams. The handset is equipped with a 5.45-inch IPS LCD FullVision panel that supports HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 295ppi.

The obsolete Snapdragon 425 chipset that includes 1.4GHz quad-core processor is at the helm of the device. The SoC is assisted by 2 GB of RAM. The handset has a native storage of 32 GB and features a microSD card slot for additional storage.

The LG X2 (2019) features a rear camera of 13-megapixels with an LED flash and PDAF. It features a front-facing snapper of 5-megapixels. The handset uses a 3,000mAh battery for power. The connectivity features features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, micro-USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The LG X2 (2019) is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. There is a dedicated hardware key on the device for accessing Google Assistant. The handset has a MIL-STD 810G certified body that protects it from harsh conditions like high temperature, low temperature, heat, humidity, vibration and shock.

The LG X2 (2019) handset comes in a single colour option of New Aurora Black. It will be available through the three leading carries of South Korea from August 9th. In Europe, the handset will be labelled the LG K30 (2019) and will be available in markets such as Germany, Italy and Poland. There is no word on whether the phone will be making its way to India.
