LG X4 (2019) with 5.7-inch Display and Military Grade Durability Announced

A few weeks ago, LG launched the LG K12+ smartphone in Brazil. The same phone has gone official in South Korea as the LG X4 (2019). It has arrived as the successor of LG X4 (2018) from last year. The LG X4 (2019) is a mid-range phone with military grade durability.

The LG X4 (2019) has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD panel that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The bezels that are above and below the display are thick. The upper bezel is the home for the 8-megapixel selfie camera and its LED flash. The rear side of the LG X4 (2019 has a 16-megapixel camera and an LED flash.

The LG phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. The SoC is supported by 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 32GB and there is a microSD card slot onboard for extra storage. The handset is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery. The LG UX skinned Android 8.1 Oreo OS comes preloaded on the smartphone.

The LG X4 (2019) is also equipped with some advanced features like an MIL-STD-810G grade chassis that can withstand harsh weather conditions. There is a dedicated hardware key on the smartphone for accessing the Google Assistant. A fingerprint reader is also placed on the rear shell of the device.

For audiophiles, the smartphone comes with features like DTS:X 3D surround sound, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and a 3.5mm audio jack. Its connectivity features include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and micro-USB 2.0. The smartphone measures 153 x 71.9 x 8.3mm and it weighs 145 grams.

LG X4 (2019) Price and Availability

The sales of the LG X4 (2019) will begin in South Korea on April 26th. It will be available with a price tag of 297,000 won (~Rs 18,150). The smartphone will be available in colours like New Aurora Black and Platinum Gray.
