LG X5 (2018) with 4,500mAh Battery, Versatile Fingerprint Scanner Goes Official in South Korea

The LG X5 (2018) is the latest budget-friendly phone that LG has introduced in the home country of South Korea. The USP of the phone is that it is packed with a mammoth battery of 4,500mAh capacity. And also, it features a versatile fingerprint scanner.

LG X5 (2018) Specifications and Features

A 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that offers an aspect ratio of 16:9 is present on the X5 (2018) smartphone. The MediaTek MT6750 SoC and 2 GB of RAM is present under the hood of the phone. It offers a native storage of 32 GB that includes a usable space of 24.31 GB. For additional storage, it is equipped with a microSD card slot.

The LG X5 (2018) offers Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box experience. The LED equipped 13-megapixel camera resides on the backside of the phone. A soft-LED flash enabled wide-angle selfie camera of 5-megapixel is fitted on the front of the phone.

The X5 (2018) includes a 4,500mAh battery like the LG X500 phone that was launched in 2017. LG has added support for fast charging on the device. Even though the handset features a behemoth battery, it weighs only 171 grams.

Besides unlocking the LG X5 (2018), the rear-facing fingerprint scanner can also function as a camera shutter key that allow users to conveniently snap selfie shots by simply tapping on it. Also, the fingerprint sensor can be used for authenticating payments through LG Pay in South Korea. The handset is equipped with usual connectivity features such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and 3.5mm audio jack.

LG X5 (2018) Pricing

The LG X5 (2018) has been introduced in South Korea with a price tag of 363,000 won (~Rs. 22,000). The handset comes in a single color of Moroccan Blue and is now available for buying through leading carriers like SKT, KT and LG U+ in the country. LG is yet to confirm the overseas availability of the X5 (2018).
