M-tech Foto 3 – Dual Rear Cameras for Rs. 4,499!

Indian smartphone maker M-Tech is looking to disrupt the entry-level segment smartphone with its Foto 3 smartphone, featuring a large display and dual rear cameras. That’s right, for Rs. 4,499 you can now grab a phone having not one, but two camera sensors located on the back. Let’s have a closer look at what this phone has to offer.

Display and Design

Up front, the phone rocks a decently sized 5-inch FWVGA display having a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. This brings its pixel density up to 196 PPI which is acceptable at this price point, however, if you are looking to consume high definition media, this display wouldn’t be able to deliver. Below the display, the phone has three capacitive keys for navigation through the interface. On the back, the phone features a stylish looking camera module and some branding by the company.

Performance and Storage

Underneath its hood, the Foto 3 has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This is coupled with 1GB of RAM and a Mali 400 GPU. Although this isn’t very impressive and if you are looking to use this phone for gaming or heavy multitasking, you will be disappointed. In terms of storage, the phone ships with just 8GB of internal memory. Fortunately, this can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.

Camera and Software

Dual-rear cameras have been the trend of late and this phone embraces it as well. The primary camera module comprises of a 2MP + 0.3MP combination along with an LED flash. The camera is expected to take acceptable images in good lighting. On the front, the phone has a 0.3MP selfie camera which is accompanied by a front-facing flash. This is a nice addition and most phones in this price segment do not include it. On the software side of things, the M-Tech Foto 3 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Battery and Connectivity

The phone draws power from a 2,400mAh battery that should last the phone a little less than a day with moderate usage. As far as connectivity is concerned, the device offers support for most norms including WiFi, 2G, 3G, 4G with VoLTE and Bluetooth.

The smartphone will be available in three colour variants – White, Black, and Gold. It will be available for sale across 20,000 offline outlets as well as leading online websites such as Flipkart.
