- Leaked renders of the MacBook Air give us a first look at the laptop
- It is expected to come with a major redesign
- The images reveal thin white bezels surrounding the display
The next-generation MacBook Air has leaked in alleged renders shared by tipster Jon Prosser. In a YouTube video, Prosser reveals that the renders were created in collaboration with RendersbyIan. It’s worth noting that the actual images of the upcoming offering are quite different from the posted renders.
The leaked renders give us a look at the MacBook Air or possibly, the regular MacBook. The upcoming laptop is tipped to come in a variety of colours similar to the M1-powered 24-inch iMac that was announced last month.
Leaked renders reveal colourful MacBook Air
You can skip to 5:05 in the video where Prosser reveals the upcoming MacBook Air. The renders show the MacBook Air in seven different colours including Blue, Yellow, Pink, Silver, Purple and Green. The upcoming offering will have a thin and lightweight design. There are no tapered edges on the MacBook Air and instead, the laptop has a flat edge design similar to iPad Air and iPad Pro. The machine has two USB-C ports, one on either side and there are two vertical rubber feet at the bottom for better thermal management.
The renders also reveal the MacBook Air’s display surrounded by thin bezels in a white colour and a webcam on the top. The upcoming laptop also features a white coloured keyboard. The layout and trackpad are similar to current MacBooks.
Prosser is usually accurate when it comes to the designs of future Apple devices. The upcoming MacBook Air is expected to debut with Apple’s next-generation M2 chipset. It is also supposed to feature MagSafe charging.
