One of the leading chipset makers, MediaTek has launched a couple of 5G-enabled smartphone chipsets under its Dimensity series. The brand recently announced the Dimensity 800 5G processor, which made its debut on the OPPO A92s. Prior to that, the company debuted the Dimensity line-up with the launch of Dimensity 1000 5G with dual 5G support, which is yet to arrive on a smartphone.
Now, MediaTek has gone ahead and announced the Dimensity 1000+ 5G, its top-of-the-line chipset with features like 144Hz display support, MediaTek’s proprietary 5G UltraSave technology, and more.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ specifications and features
MediaTek announced the latest processor at an online conference held in China. The Dimensity 1000+ comes with support for up to 144Hz refresh rate panels with real-time 4K video dynamic image quality adjustment, based on AI scene recognition. MediaTek has also improved gaming performance on the 1000+, which features HyperEngine 2.0. With the Dimensity 1000+, MediaTek is aiming to offer a smooth experience, better gaming and enhanced 5G networking.
On the topic of enhanced 5G, the Dimensity 1000+ flaunts MediaTek’s proprietary 5G UltraSave technology, which helps in lowering the battery consumption while using the 5G bandwidth. MediaTek claims that the Dimensity 1000+ consumes 48 percent lower power compared to 5G-enabled Snapdragon chipsets. This has been achieved through automatic switching between networks and dynamically adjusting the working mode of the integrated 5G modem.
MediaTek has also incorporated optimizations for a more stable 5G network experience. The aforementioned HyperEngine 2.0 is capable of making intelligent predictions based on network and bandwidth requirements to maintain seamless switching between 4G and 5G. The latest chipset also features a low latency, anti-jamming technology, MediaTek’s new image display technology and the new MiraVision image quality engine.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ to debut on an iQOO smartphone
At the event, MediaTek announced that the latest Dimensity 1000+ chipset will make its debut on an upcoming iQOO smartphone later this year. Unfortunately, it was not revealed which smartphone this is or when it will be launched.
