MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 SoC beats Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung’s Exynos 2200 processors in the Geekbench 5 test. The results were shared by the popular tipster Ice Universe on Twitter. It also included scores of Snapdragon 888 and Apple’s A15 Bionic SoC.

The Dimensity 9000, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 are all flagship SoCs from their respective chipmakers. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 already powers a few smartphones in the market whereas the other two chipsets are expected to make their way into devices in the coming months.

As seen in the results, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 beats the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 processors in both single-core and multi-core tests. Among this year’s flagship SoCs, the Exynos 2200 comes the last in the Geekbench 5 test. It scores 1,109 and 3,534 points in single and multi-core tests respectively. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 comes second scoring 1,231 and 3,752 points in the same test.
On the other hand, the Dimensity 9000 was able to score 1,278 points in single-core tests and in multi-core tests, it beats the other two processors by a considerable margin scoring 4,410 points. In the same Geekbench 5 tests, we also have Apple’s A15 Bionic SoC. It takes a commanding lead over all other processors. The chipset scores 1,750 and 4,895 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.
MediaTek announced the flagship Dimensity 9000 processor last month. It is built on a 4nm process and is said to be a powerful and energy-efficient SoC. The chipset is expected to power upcoming smartphones like the OPPO Find X5, Redmi K50 series and more from Huawei, Realme, OnePlus in the coming months.
