The Meizu 16s boasts of a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display bearing an FHD+ resolution. The display is flanked by narrow bezels and there’s no notch on the top. The Meizu 16s features an in-display fingerprint scanner. The back panel houses a dual camera setup and Meizu branding is located at the center. The smartphone is available in White, Black and Gradient Blue color options.
On the imaging front, the Meizu 16s is equipped with a dual camera module comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX350 primary sensor accompanied by a 20MP secondary shooter. The front camera bears a 20MP snapper for selfies. The camera is backed by AI capabilities that aid in clicking better images.
The Meizu 16s is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset with Adreno 640 GPU. The device is available in three RAM and storage configurations – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Flyme OS 7.3 built on top of Android Pie. A 3,600mAh battery fitted inside keeps the Meizu 16s running. It can be topped up via the bundled 24W fast charger.
Connectivity-wise, the device features a USB Type-C port and NFC support. It also comes with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and GLONASS.
Pricing & Availability:
The base variant of Meizu 16s carries a price tag of 3,198 Yuan (~Rs 33,188). The 8GB + 128GB variant will retail at 3,498 Yuan (~Rs 36,302). The price of the top-end 8GB + 256GB model has been set at 3,998 Yuan (~Rs 41,488). The device will be available for purchase in China starting from April 28th on Meizu’s official site, Tmall, Jingdong and more. There’s no word whether the device will be available in India as of now.
