After a long break, Meizu has made a comeback in India by launching the Meizu 16th, M6T and C9 smartphones. The Snapdragon 845-powered Meizu 16th is a flagship phone whereas the Meizu M6T is mid-range phone with impressive photo shooting capabilities.
Meizu 16th Specifications and Features
The Meizu 16th measures 150.5 x 73.2 x 7.3mm and weighs 152 grams. It houses a 6-inch On-cell Super AMOLED screen that produces Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The notch-less display supports 18:9 aspect ratio, 10000:1 contrast ratio and 402ppi pixel density. The display of the phone is equipped with mEngine linear motor for touch feedback. Meizu’s new flagship is also equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
The Meizu 16th receives power to perform from Snapdragon 845v chipset. The handset was launched in China in August. It has been available in the home country in multiple variants. However, India has received only the 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage version of the smartphone. The Flyme 7 UI based Android Oreo OS is available on the device.
The Meizu 16th is fueled by a 3,010mAh battery that carries support for 18W mCharge fast charging. When it comes to photography, the handset offers a dual camera setup that includes an OIS enabled 12-megapixel Sony IMX380 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 20-megapixel Sony IM350 sensor with f/2.6 aperture. The dual rear cameras support portrait bokeh mode and 3x optical zoom.
The 20-megapixel f/2.0 aperture selfie shooter features ArcSoft AI intelligent beauty technology and a face recognition feature. The connectivity features of the smartphone include dual-SIM, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. It lacks support for a microSD card slot.
Meizu M6T Specifications and Features
The Meizu M6T features a polycarbonate rear and measures 152.3 x 73 x 8.4mm. It houses a 5.7-inch LTPS In-Cell LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and HD+ resolution. The MediaTek MT6750 chipset is present under the hood of the device. The SoC is assisted by 3GB of RAM. The device features an inbuilt storage of 32GB. It includes a 3,300mAh battery. It runs Android Nougat skinned with Flyme 6.
The Meizu M6T offers an f/2.2 13-megapixel OV13855 sensor + f/2.8 2-megapixel dual camera setup. Placed at the front of the Meizu M6T is an f/2.0 8-megapixel Samsung 4H7 sensor.
The rear shell of the Meizu M6T is fitted with a fingerprint scanner. The second SIM slot is a hybrid one, accepting a a microSD card for additional storage. The connectivity features available on the handset include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, microUSB 2.0 anda 3.5mm audio jack.
Meizu 16TH and Meizu M6T Pricing and Release Date
The Meizu 16TH carries a price tag of Rs 39,999 whereas the Meizu M6T can be purchased for Rs 7,999. Staring from today, the Meizu 16TH can be bought in colors like Midnight Black and Moonlight White. The sales of the Meizu M6T will also begin today and it will be available in Black and Gold color choices. Both smartphones will be exclusively available for buying via Amazon India. The Chinese firm has also announced the Meizu POP true wireless Bluetooth earbuds with Rs. 6,999 price tag and the EP52 Lite Bluettooth earphones with Rs. 1,999 pricing.
