Meizu’s long-rumored M5 has now entered Chinese certification website TENAA. The company has an event scheduled in China for October 31st. There is a possibility that Meizu may launch the M5 during this event itself. Earlier this week, the phone was spotted on a benchmarking website Geekbench, revealing some of its key specs.
If rumors are to be believed, the Meizu M5 comes with a 5.2-inch touchscreen display featuring 1280 x 720 pixels Full HD resolution and 282 PPI pixel density. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with Adreno 510 GPU.
The Meizu M5 comes in three variants — 2GB, 3GB, and 6GB of RAM for 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage respectively. However, the storage capacity is further expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.
As far as the camera offerings are concerned, the Meizu M5 houses a 13-megapixel primary shooter along with a 5-megapixel selfie camera for all the selfie lovers out there. It packs in a 3,000mAh battery. No other details are known at the time of reporting this development.
Yesterday, Meizu launched the m3s in India in two variants — 2GB RAM + 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM + 32GB internal storage. Its price starts at Rs 7,999 in the Indian market.
