Meizu M8 Note With Snapdragon 632 and Dual Cameras Goes Official

Meizu has today announced the M8 Note smartphone as the successor to the Meizu M6 Note that was announced in August last year. The smartphone features a full screen display and like its predecessor, and it comes with an impressive pair of dual cameras.

Meizu M8 Note Specifications and Features

The Meizu M8 Note features a metal unibody design and a high-tensile die-cast aluminum frame coupled with nylon protection ring for increasing the durability. The 6-inch IPS LCD display of the phone features Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen to body ratio of 87 percent. Meizu claims the display can also be used with wet hands.

Like the recently announced Honor 8C smartphone, the Meizu M8 Note also features the Snapdragon 632 chipset. The SoC is coupled with 4GB of RAM. For storage, it comes with an inbuilt capacity of 64GB and it also features a microSD card slot. A 3,600mAh battery is present under the hood which carries support for 18W mCharge fast charging. According to Meizu, it takes only 30 minutes to completely charge the smartphone.

The Meizu M8 Note features a vertical dual camera setup on its rear. It includes a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The dual cameras have been optimised to capture better night shots.

The front of the Meizu M8 Note features an f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The fifth generation ArcSoft beauty algorithm allows the phone to capture enhanced selfie shots. The smartphone features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is packed with the usual connectivity features such as dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone port.

Meizu M8 Note Pricing and Release Date

The Meizu M8 Note is priced at 1,298 Yuan (~Rs. 13,700). It comes in color choices such as Black, Gray Blue, Smoke Purple and Flame Red.

The reservations of the smartphone have begun in China and it is scheduled to go on sale starting from 12am on November 1st. There is no information available on the international release of the Meizu M8 Note.
