Talking about its highlight first, the displays. This is the first smartphone by Meizu to come with dual-screens. There’s a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display bearing a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. And there’s another secondary display on the back that measures 1.9-inch and is made up of a Super AMOLED panel as well.
The secondary display has a lot of significance and use cases. It shows you relevant information such as notifications, weather details, time, music player and much more. Apart from this, you can also use this screen to click selfies from the rear camera. Since there are dual cameras on the back, you can click better selfies from that orientation. There are two 12-megapixel sensors on the rear side. On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel sensor for clicking selfies and video calling.
In terms of performance, the phone fits a MediaTek Helio P25 chipset coupled with the Mali T880 graphic processor. It is further powered by 4GB of RAM for seamless multi-tasking. There’s 64GB of internal storage provided in the phone. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat which is layered by Flyme OS 6.
The phone is powered by a 3000mAh battery and it also supports mCharge technology for fast charging. Meizu has claimed that the Pro 7 will be available in limited quantities.
It is good to see brands like Meizu experimenting with different features instead of just going ahead with what’s trending.
