Following the release of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC EV in September this year, the German automaker has launched two new 7-seater SUVs for the Indian market. The first of these is the GLB, which is available in petrol (GLB 200) and diesel (GLB 220d) options. Meanwhile, the second in the lineup is essentially an electric version of the GLB, known as the EQB 300 4Matic.
Both cars feature identical design and construction, barring a slightly modified front bumper on the EV, akin to the brand’s existing lineup of EQS electric cars. A total of three options are available in the GLB series, with the diesel version also sold in an optional all-wheel drive model.

Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 4Matic features, range, and price
The company’s new electric SUV is available in a dual-motor configuration, capable of delivering peak output of 225 BHP and 390Nm. It can run for up to 423 kilometres on a full charge, thanks to the 66.5 kWh battery unit on board.
Mercedes-Benz provides an 11 kW AC charger with the EQB 300 4Matic. The automaker said that the car also supports DC fast charging at 100 kW. This enables the EV to recharge from 10 to 80% in just around half an hour.
The car is also pretty snappy with its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 8 seconds. On the other hand, the top speed of the EV is capped at 160 kmph. Notably, customers can only get the new Mercedes-Benz EV in one variant, with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 74.50 lakhs.
