Mi 11 Ultra first sale in India further delayed

Xiaomi Mi Ultra’s first sale in India has been postponed indefinitely. The company announced the news on its Twitter handle following multiple queries by users on the the availability. The flagship offering was launched last month but no sale date was announced at that time.

Xiaomi cites unforeseen circumstances beyond the company’s control as the reason for the delay in shipments of the Mi 11 Ultra. This is likely due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and trade barriers related to the import of the device. The brand says that it is working hard to bring the Mi Ultra as soon as possible. 

In an open letter to fans, Xiaomi stated “We are hopeful that the current situation improves soon and that we are able to communicate the sale date at the earliest. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these uncertain times.”

Mi 11 Ultra specifications and features

The Mi 11 Ultra sports a 6.81-inch curved sAMOLED screen bearing a WQHD+ resolution. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 10-bit panel, integrated fingerprint scanner and more display features. There is a small secondary 1.1-inch screen on the back panel’s camera island. The smartphone is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. 

The Mi 11 Ultra features triple rear cameras comprising of a 50MP Truepixel Custom GN2 sensor paired with a 48MP ultra-wide snapper and a 48MP telephoto lens. The device comes with a 20MP front-facing snapper. 

The Mi 11 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC along with an X60 modem. It packs 12GB RAM and offers 256GB native storage. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 67W wired and wireless charging. It runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. 

Connectivity-wise, the Mi 11 Ultra comes with 5G, 4G LTE, USB-C port, dual-band WiFi and GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and NavIC support.
