Mi 11 Ultra first sale in India teased, sales tipped to begin in early July

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra sales will finally begin in July in India, claims a new report by India Today. Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain also teased the arrival of the phone on Twitter. The flagship phone was announced alongside the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro smartphones in India back in April. While the Mi 11X models were made available for purchase readily, the company did not confirm the launch date of Mi 11 Ultra.

More than a month after announcing the Mi 11 Ultra, the company announced that its arrival had been delayed indefinitely. The delay was reportedly caused due to the COVID-19 crisis and trade barriers related to the import of the device. It seems Mi 11 Ultra fans will soon be able to purchase it as it is expected to go on sale for the first time in the first week of July.

Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain  and Mi India’s Twitter handles have started teasing the Mi 11 Ultra arrival. Hence, it seems that the company will soon confirm its first sale.

As per India Today, Mi Home stores in India are now registering customer interest for the Mi 11 Ultra and will be contacting them from the first week of July. Xiaomi reportedly contacted its retail partners to inform them about the stock situation. Hence, it is likely that the Mi 11 Ultra could be available for purchase in the first week of July.

The report further claims that if the sale does not kick in the first week, the company will definitely make it available for purchase in the second half of July. Those who are interested in purchasing the Mi 11 Ultra are simply required to register their interest by calling the Mi Home stores. They are not required to pay any upfront amount. When sufficient stock is available, the retailers will contact the buyers. The online sales of the Mi 11 Ultra are also expected to begin around the same time through Xiaomi India’s online store and Amazon India.

At launch, the company confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (review) will be available in a single variant featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. Priced at Rs 69,999, it will be available in two colours such as Cosmic Black and Cosmic White.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has a 6.81-inch S-AMOLED curved edge display that offers WQHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
