Mi Router, Mi Shoes to launch in India on August 26th


  • Xiaomi’s Mi Smarter Living 2022 event will be held on August 26th
  • A new Mi Wi-Fi router and Mi Shoes will debut at the event
  • Mi Notebooks, Mi Band 6, and Mi TV 5X will also launch alongside

The Mi Routher and Mi Shoes will launch at the upcoming Mi Smarter Living 2022, which will take place at 12pm on August 26th. The microsites of both these products are now live on Xiaomi India’s website.

In January 2020, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Router 4C as its first router in India. Xiaomi had launched Mi Men’s Sports Shoes 2 back in February 2019 for Rs 2,999. The microsites of the upcoming products show that the company could be planning to launch enhanced versions of these products.

The Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi router will arrive with four antennas

The final marketing name of the upcoming Mi Router is not known yet. Its landing page does not reveal much information on the specs and features of the router. It only shows that it will be equipped with four antennas.

On the other hand, the upcoming Mi Shoes will be a lightweight pair of shoes with features like an elastic fit, protection against odour causing microbes and bacteria, better stability, and colourful design.

Apart from the above-mentioned products, the company will launch new Mi Notebooks, Mi TV 5X, and  the Mi Band 6. The company is also expected to announce a Mi 360 security cameras alongside these products.

The new laptops that are expected to launch on August 26th are likely to be called Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15. These notebooks are likely to debut as rebadged versions of the RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 5X will offer features like slim bezels, metallic finish for the edges, impressive visuals, Dolby-powered audio output, far-field mics for Google Assistant, a new version of PatchWall UI, and future-ready specs. The Mi Band 6 fitness tracker will come with features like a 1.56-inch AMOLED display, heart rate tracker, blood oxygen (SpO2) tracker, sleep tracker, and a battery life of up to 14 days. At present, there is no information available on the specs and features of the security camera.
