Mi Security Camera is confirmed to launch in India at the Mi Smarter Living event. It is set to take place on August 26th at 12 noon and the event will be live streamed on the company’s social channels. The company recently confirmed it will launch a smart router and Mi shoes at the event, alongside the new Mi Notebooks, Mi TV 5X and Mi Band 6.
Xiaomi has posted a teaser video of the Mi Security Camera on Twitter as well as published a microsite of the upcoming offering on its website. The device seems to be a rebranded variant of the Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro in China. In India, Xiaomi already offers Mi Home Security Camera 360 and Mi Home Security Camera Basic.

As per the microsite, the Mi Security Camera is said to offer the next generation of smart security and superior clarity. It will feature a privacy shutter to block the camera lens when it is not in use. The Mi Security Camera will come with dual-band WiFi for smoother connectivity.
Alongside the Mi Security Camera, Xiaomi is also launching a range of other devices including laptops, Mi Band 6, Mi TV 5X, Mi Router, and Mi Shoes at the Mi Smarter Living event.
Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro specifications and features
The Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro comes with a 3MP camera sensor with AI human detection. It offers a 360-degree field of view with a panorama sweep and the device features a video resolution of 1296 pixels.
The Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro supports a microSD card slot up to 32GB. It is compatible with devices running on Android 4.4 and iOS 9.0 or above. Connectivity options on the device include dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
