Xiaomi has announced that during the festive season so far, it has sold more than 5 lakh units of the Mi TVs in India. The brand claims that it has achieved the record-breaking sale figure in just 24 days since the festive sales started on September 28th. The company has achieved the new milestone in sales of the Mi TVs across channels including Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, and via all offline distribution channels. It’s worth mentioning that the Mi TV was the highest-selling television on Flipkart and Amazon during the festive season sales.
Commenting on the launch, Eshwar Nilakantan, Category Lead – MiTV, Xiaomi India said, “Our Smart TV business was born in 2018 and it has flourished well in India. In a short span of time of three months since inception, we became the #1 Smart TV brand in India and have continued our streak for five consecutive quarters. This is a testament to all the love from our Mi Fans where they helped us reach a monumental 500,000 in just 24 days. We believe, we are the first brand to achieve this milestone in less than a month and we are thrilled, and equally humbled by all the love we received from our customers”.
For the uninitiated, Xiaomi entered the Indian television market early last year. In just three months after debuting in the segment, the brand became the number one smart TV manufacturer in the country. The company claims to be the top-selling TV maker in India for five consecutive quarters. Xiaomi offers feature-loaded televisions at competitive prices, which is why its TVs are popular among Indian consumers.
Xiaomi is currently offering 10 Mi TV models in India under its Mi 4, Mi 4A, Mi 4A Pro, Mi 4X, and Mi 4X Pro line up. The brand’s most affordable TVs cost Rs 11,499, while the most expensive model is being offered for Rs 54,999.
