The Mi TV Webcam is set to launch in India on June 24th at 12 noon. Xiaomi shared the announcement on its Twitter handle. The brand also has a microsite on its official website revealing key specifications and features of the upcoming offering.
The Mi TV Webcam will be the first accessory for Xiaomi televisions. It will enable users to make video calls on a big screen. The device will compete against the recently launched OnePlus TV Camera.

As per the microsite, the Mi TV Webcam will feature 1080p Full HD video resolution. It will be equipped with dual far-field microphones and 3D noise reduction technology. The device can be mounted easily on the top of the TV with a simple clip. The clip is said to provide a sturdy grip and expected to feature a magnetic attachment. The external web camera will feature a privacy shutter slider for security purposes. The Mi TV Webcam will come with support for Google Duo.
The official microsite doesn’t reveal any additional specifications of the Mi TV Webcam. It’s also unknown whether both Mi TVs and Redmi TVs will be compatible with the external camera.
Separately, a tipster named Yogesh, revealed that the Mi TV Webcam will come with a USB-C port. It will be priced under Rs 2,500.
