Xiaomi recently made its debut in the smartwatch category in India with the launch of the Mi Watch Revolve. The first smartwatch being offered by the brand in the country is the rebranded version of the Mi Watch Color. The Mi Watch Revolve is a circular smartwatch loaded with tons of fitness and health-related features.
Xiaomi has launched the smartwatch in India with a price tag of Rs 10,999 but users can buy it until Diwali at Rs 9,999. Earlier this year, OPPO also debuted its first smartwatch in the country, which comes with a more expensive price tag starting at Rs 14,990. Let’s take a look at how these two debut smartwatches stack up against each other.
Mi Watch Revolve vs OPPO Watch: price in India
The Mi Watch Revolve has been priced at Rs 10,999 in India but interested buyers will be able to pick it up for Rs 9,999 for a limited duration as mentioned before. Xiaomi is offering the smartwatch in Midnight Black, Neptune Blue, Cosmic Dust Maroon, Space Black and Astral Olive colours. The wearable will go on sale in India starting October 6th on mi.com, Amazon, Mi Home and soon in retail stores.
On the other hand, the OPPO Watch is being offered in 41mm and 46mm dial sizes. The former retails at Rs 14,990 and the latter will set you back by Rs 19,990. The 46mm model is being offered in Black and Glossy Gold colours. If you are looking for more colour variants, the 41mm model comes in Black, Pink Gold and Silver Mist colour options.

Mi Watch Revolve vs OPPO Watch: design and display
The Mi Watch Revolve comes with a circular dial, whereas the OPPO Watch features a square design like the Apple Watch. Both watches have two physical buttons on the side for navigation. However, the OPPO Watch comes with an integrated notification light in one of the buttons.
The Mi Watch Revolve features a stainless steel build and is being offered in a single 46mm dial size. The OPPO Watch, on the other hand, features aluminium alloy chassis and is being offered with the options of 41mm and 46mm dial sizes. Both watches have 5ATM water-resistance, however the 41mm OPPO Watch variant features only 3ATM water resistance.
Coming to the display, the Mi Watch Revolve is equipped with a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with 454 x 454 pixels resolution. The screen has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against accidental scratches. The OPPO Watch has different panels on its two variants. The 41mm model features a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with 360 x 320 pixels resolution. The top-end model, on the other hand, features a flexible dual-curved AMOLED display measuring 1.9 inches with 476 x 402 pixels resolution.
Both Mi Watch Revolve and OPPO Watch come with always-on display functionality.

Mi Watch Revolve vs OPPO Watch: performance and software
Starting with the Mi Watch Revolve, Xiaomi has not specified the processor and memory configurations of the wearable. The smartwatch boots a proprietary OS out of the box just like every other wearable from the brand.
The OPPO Watch boots Google’s WearOS, which offers better app support and a more mature app ecosystem. Additionally, the watch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. There’s also an Ambiq Apollo3 chip and a dual-chip endurance system, which switches between two processors based on the power usage mode to maximise the battery life.
The Oppo Watch uses WearOS App by Google and Bluetooth 4.2 to connect with your smartphone. The Mi Watch Revolve works with Xiaomi Wear app on Android and Xiaomi Wear Lite on iOS. The Xiaomi offering comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 BLE.
Speaking of connectivity, both devices are equipped with GPS + GLONASS for route tracking and NFC.

Mi Watch Revolve vs OPPO Watch: wellness and smart features
Let’s start with fitness and wellness features. The Mi Watch Revolve features 10 pre-loaded sports modes including swimming, treadmill, running, cycling, outdoor, hiking, walking, exercise, spinning and pool. There’s a 24-hour heart rate monitor, a sleep tracker, stress monitoring and body energy monitor. The Mi Watch Revolve also comes with a VO2 Max sensor to track the oxygen consumption during intense workout sessions.
The OPPO Watch features support for 14 activities including fitness run, fat burn run, outdoor cycling, and swimming, among others. The wearable features heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and guided breathing exercises. However, it misses out on a VO2 sensor for blood oxygen level tracking.
Coming to the smart features, the Mi Watch Revolve is compatible with Android devices running 4.4 or higher and iOS 9.0+. The wearable offers features like notifications, find my phone, weather, idle alerts, call management, music control and over 110 watch faces.
The OPPO Watch also offers most of these features but with additional Google Assistant and online music streaming. The watch is compatible with Android 6.0 or later and iOS 12.0 and above.

The Mi Watch Revolve is equipped with a 420mAh battery, which can be charged through a 2-pin magnetic charger. Xiaomi claims that the watch can last up to 14 days on a single charge.
The OPPO Watch comes with a slightly larger 430mAh battery unit with VOOC fast charging. OPPO claims that the watch can charge from zero to 100 percent in just 75 minutes. The watch can last up to 36 hours of usage in normal mode and up to 21 days in power-saving mode.

Mi Watch Revolve vs OPPO Watch: verdict
It’s clear now that the OPPO Watch is a the better option among the two, however, it’s also a lot more expensive than the Mi Watch Revolve. If you are willing to pay the premium for features like Google WearOS, dual-chip performance, Google Assistant and VOOC fast charging, OPPO Watch is a commendable offering for its price. However, if you are looking for an affordable yet powerful smartwatch with useful features, Mi Watch Revolve is a good option as well.
