The low price tag of Bharat 5 makes it one of the strongest competitors of the recently unveiled Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Compared to Redmi 5A, the Bharat 5 features a larger display and a bigger battery. The Redmi 5A carries a pricing of Rs 5,999 for its base model that features 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. However, the Chinese firm is making it available for Rs. 4,999 for the first 5 million buyers. It appears that the strong demand Redmi 5A can impact the sales of Bharat 5 and even other smartphones from the same price range.

According to Micromax, it has sold 3 million Bharat smartphones so far. It aims to meet its target of 6 million sales of Bharat phones by March 2018. The company is promised to release two new phones named Bharat 5 Plus and Bharat 5 Pro in the next two months.
