Micromax made a comeback in the Indian market earlier this month. The Indian company launched two smartphones called the Micromax In Note 1 and Micromax In 1B at aggressive price tags. The latter is an entry-level smartphone under the sub-Rs 8k price tag.
The Micromax In 1B had debuted in two configurations i.e. 4GB + 64GB and 2GB + 32GB. Now the brand has announced that base variant is an Android Go Edition device while the higher model runs Android 10. Apart from the differences in RAM and storage, both variants share the same specifications.
Micromax In 1B specifications and features
The Micromax In 1B features a 6.52-inch screen bearing an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. The back panel houses a fingerprint scanner and a rectangular camera module. The smartphone offers an 8MP front-facing camera while on the back there is a dual-camera setup of 13MP main sensor paired with a 2MP secondary lens.
Under the hood, the Micromax In 1B is equipped with an Helio G35 SoC. The device packs up to 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage expandable via microSD card slot. The 2GB + 32GB variant of the smartphone runs on Android 10 (Go Edition) that is designed for entry-level phones with low RAM and storage. It ships with Go-based apps like Google Go, Gmail Go, Maps Go etc.
The Micromax In 1B draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W charging via USB-C port. The smartphone also features a dedicated voice assistant button.
Micromax In 1B price in India
The Micromax In 1B 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 7,999 while the 2GB + 32GB option costs Rs 6,999. The smartphone is offered in Purple, Blue and Green colours. The Micromax In 1B was supposed to go on sale for the first time on November 26th but it got cancelled due to logistics issue. The company will reveal the next sale date soon. Meanwhile, the Micromax In Note 1 will go on sale tomorrow starting 12 noon.
