Confirmed: Micromax In-series smartphones to feature Helio G85 and Helio G35 SoCs

Micromax has announced that it’s going to make a comeback in India with a new “In” sub-brand of affordable smartphones. The indigenous brand has already confirmed that the new smartphones will be launched in India on November 3rd. The brand has been teasing details of the upcoming sub-brand lately and has now revealed that these phones will be powered by Helio G35 and Helio G85 chipsets.

The brand co-founder, Rahul Sharma has already revealed that the brand will launch multiple smartphones in the Rs 7,000 – Rs 15,000 price segment. He further claimed that these phones will be performance-oriented and offer an ad-free stock Android experience to users.

Micromax In-series phones will come with budget gaming processors

The official Twitter handle of the brand has teased the processors of upcoming smartphones. In the video shared by the brand, we can see a processor featuring a static ‘G’ and ‘5’ with moving ‘3’ and ‘8’ numerals. While Micromax has asked users to guess which one they think it is, past rumours have also suggested that the In-series will debut with two devices featuring Helio G35 and Helio G85 processors, respectively.

According to a report by The Mobile Indian, the Helio G35-powered In smartphone will be offered in 2GB + 32GB and 3GB + 32GB variants. Interestingly, both these variants are tipped to have different camera configurations. The 2GB model is tipped to come with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front snapper. The 3GB variant will have triple cameras in a 13MP + 5MP + 2MP setup, and a 13MP selfie shooter.

These smartphones will have a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, and a stock version of Android OS. Details regarding the Helio G85 model are scarce at the moment.
